Bachelor of Accounting - WACC01 - 2017


The Bachelor of Accounting will give you a sound knowledge base in financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, business law and finance.

This vocationally oriented and student-centred course focuses on the professional employment skills needed in a rapidly changing business environment with an emphasis on communication, presentation and problem-solving skills. It allows for flexibility of study and prepares students for careers in a variety of business fields.


  • The CDU Bachelor of Accounting allows for elective subjects to suit your personal interests and career aspirations, and can be taken from disciplines across the university, including language studies, anthropology, history, social science, Indigenous studies, applied science and engineering.

  • The Bachelor of Accounting offered is at CDU Waterfront in Darwin and also in Melbourne and Sydney.

  • The course is also available online, and full-time and part-time study options give you the flexibility to fit study in around your lifestyle.

  • Completion of the degree allows graduates to apply for membership of CPA Australia and The Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).


Accounting can lead to an interesting and lucrative career in a number of varied fields.

Graduates can work in the private sector in small, medium or large firms, in large ‘Big Four’ accounting firms, small local accounting firms or large international firms in whatever field appeals to you.

Our graduates can be found working in large multinational companies as financial accountants, management accountants, auditors and managers; others run their own businesses or work in other areas of business management.
