Course overview

The Master of Professional Accounting is a conversion course for graduates of degrees other than accounting who want move into the accounting field.

Graduates with non-accounting or partial accounting backgrounds can get the qualifications to meet the academic requirements for membership of CPA Australia and The Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).

The course focuses on contemporary knowledge and skills required for practice as a public or chartered accountant, effective management, accountability and control, and effective decision-making for financial success.

Studies in the Master of Professional Accounting will provide the technical and conceptual skills required to become a competent accountant, and will develop students' abilities to analyse, criticise and synthesise various accounting and related principles, methods and techniques. The skills and knowledge gained from this course will prepare students to be effective managers or financial analysts.
