Preparation for Tertiary Success 2 - ZPTS21 - 2018

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Preparation for Tertiary Success provides Indigenous students with access and a smooth transition to undergraduate study and prepares them for success in their future studies.

On successful completion of the course students will have developed initial knowledge, abilities and skills in:

  • developing strong identity, confidence and resilience as lifelong learners
  • understanding own learning style and preferences as well as areas of challenge
  • developing confidence in speaking and listening, reading and writing, as well as acquiring competence in using applied numeracy, mathematics and practical science
  • developing competence in practical applications of ICT and information literacy.

Importantly, students will be encouraged to articulate their own Indigenous perspectives in dynamic relationship to Western academic perspectives.
